Celebrating Chap Goh Mei: A Joyful Finale to the Lunar New Year

Celebrating Chap Goh Mei: A Joyful Finale to the Lunar New Year

元宵节快乐!

Vision University college would like to wish everyone a Happy Chap Goh Mei!

As this is the final day of the Lunar New Year, this celebration marks the end of the festivities, symbolizing reunion, romance, and new beginnings. Do you know? “Chap Goh Mei” is also called the Lantern Festival in China, which is why you will often see people releasing lanterns into the sky during this time of the Lunar New Year. In Hokkien, “Chap Goh Mei” is translated to “The 15th day of the new year” which is why it is called Chap Goh Mei as it is the literal translation for the word, although the reason behind this celebration is deeper.

Once again, Vision University College would like to wish that everyone have a Happy Chap Goh Mei and enjoy your time with your loved one even if you don’t celebrate the festival itself.
