Master

The Master in Law Enforcement with Cybersecurity (MLEC) at Vision University College (VUC) is a postgraduate programme designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in law enforcement, with a strong focus on cybersecurity.

The programme covers key areas such as law and ethics, digital forensics, criminal investigation techniques, cybersecurity, forensic psychology, cyber intelligence, and risk management. Students will also be trained in research methodology and complete a capstone project.

Graduates of this programme will be prepared for careers in police and armed forces intelligence units, cybercrime investigation divisions, government enforcement agencies, forensic technology firms, legal and compliance departments, and cybersecurity consulting.

The Master’s programme at VUC is intensive and well-structured, delivered through a 100% coursework-based format with no final examination or dissertation required. MLEC students will gain the necessary skills and insights to explore advanced topics related to law enforcement and cybersecurity.

Year 1

Semester 1

• Law and Ethics – This course covers law enforcement ethics, legal accountability, and balancing public safety with human rights.
• Advanced Forensics – This course teaches advanced forensic techniques, evidence analysis, and ethical practices in legal contexts using real-world case studies and modern technologies.
• Network and Information Security – This course provides hands-on training in forensic science techniques, crime investigation, and ethical, legal, and technological applications in law enforcement.
• Research Methodology – This course teaches ethical research methods, data analysis, and proposal development for cybersecurity and law enforcement studies.
• Evidence and Chain of Custody – This course teaches proper evidence handling, preservation, and documentation to ensure legal and ethical integrity in law enforcement investigations.

Semester 2

• Crime Investigation Techniques – This course teaches modern crime investigation techniques, evidence handling, and legal, ethical practices for conducting thorough and effective law enforcement investigations.
• Data Privacy and Protection – This course teaches data privacy principles, protection strategies, and ethical practices for safeguarding sensitive information in digital environments.
• Forensic Psychology and Criminal Behaviour – This course examines criminal behavior through psychological theories, forensic assessments, and ethical practices in the criminal justice system.
• Cyber Intelligence and Threat Analysis – This course teaches cyber intelligence, threat analysis, and ethical practices for identifying and mitigating digital security risks.

Semester 3

• Capstone Project in Law Enforcement and Cybersecurity – The Capstone Project lets students apply their skills to solve real-world cybersecurity and law enforcement challenges using ethical, analytical, and innovative approaches.
• Risk Management and Compliance in Crime – This course covers risk assessment, crime prevention, regulatory compliance, and ethical strategies in law enforcement and corporate security.
• Applied Criminology and Cybersecurity / Cyber Warfare and National Security – These courses teach cybercrime and cyber warfare, focusing on analyzing digital threats, applying criminology and defense strategies, and ensuring ethical and legal cybersecurity practices for individuals and national systems.

The Master of Technical and Vocational Education (MTVE) at Vision University College is designed for educators, trainers, graduates and working professionals who wish to strengthen their knowledge and professional skills in Technical and Vocational Education and Training.

This postgraduate programme supports candidates who want to enhance their competency in TVET teaching, curriculum development, educational research, digital pedagogy, leadership and instructional innovation.

Through a mixed-mode learning structure, students are exposed to quantitative and qualitative research, academic writing, pedagogy in TVET, curriculum and instructional design, digital learning, educational leadership and dissertation development.

The programme is suitable for TVET educators, lecturers, trainers, curriculum developers, education officers and professionals involved in vocational education and training development.

The programme provides advanced knowledge in TVET research, pedagogy, curriculum development, instructional design, digital learning and educational leadership. Students build stronger research ability, academic writing skills, curriculum-planning knowledge, instructional-design competency and leadership confidence.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in the education field, Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF), with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or its equivalent, as accepted by the Higher Education Provider Senate; OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree in the education field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree in the education field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, with at least three years’ working experience in the education field and subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and completion of prerequisite courses; OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to rigorous internal assessment and completion of prerequisite courses; OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, with at least three years’ working experience in the education field, subject to rigorous internal assessment and completion of prerequisite courses; OR

The Master in Education (Communication and Technology) at Vision University College is designed for educators, graduates and working professionals who wish to strengthen their knowledge in education, communication, digital pedagogy and educational technology.

This postgraduate programme provides a learning pathway for candidates who aim to enhance their professional competency in teaching and learning, instructional design, digital learning environments, educational communication and technology integration.
