Vision University College recently welcomed a group of visitors from SMK Seksyen 24(2) for an educational campus visit and exposure session on Thursday, 21 May 2026. The visit involved 40 students accompanied by 4 teachers, where they were given the opportunity to experience campus life, explore academic facilities, and gain insight into various programmes offered at [Vision University College]
Throughout the visit, the students participated in a full campus tour and explored several specialised practical rooms designed to provide hands-on learning experiences. During the session, students were introduced to a variety of programmes including Opticianry, Hotel Management, Medical Imaging, Nursing, and Physiotherapy.
One of the highlights of the visit was the Opticianry practical room, where students learned more about eye care services and the important role opticians play in helping patients improve their vision and eye health. Students were introduced to various optical instruments and equipment commonly used in vision testing and eye examinations while learning more about career opportunities available in the optical and healthcare industries.
The students also visited the Medical Imaging practical area, where they gained exposure to imaging technology and learned how medical imaging professionals assist doctors in diagnosing patients through different scanning and imaging procedures. The session helped students understand the importance of imaging technology in modern healthcare services and introduced them to the real working environment within the healthcare industry.
In the Nursing practical room, students experienced a simulated healthcare environment where they were introduced to basic patient care procedures and healthcare training equipment commonly used by nursing students. They observed demonstrations involving medical mannequins and hospital simulation tools that are used to prepare students before entering clinical placements and hospital training.
Another engaging part of the visit was the Physiotherapy practical session, where students had the opportunity to interact directly with lecturers and inquire more about the programme, practical training, and career opportunities within the field. Students learned about rehabilitation, movement therapy, and how physiotherapists help patients recover from injuries and improve mobility. The interactive session allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of patient care and physical rehabilitation treatments.
The visitors were also introduced to the Hotel Management programme, where they learned more about hospitality operations, customer service, and career pathways within the hotel and tourism industry. Students were given insight into how the programme prepares learners with practical skills and industry knowledge required in the hospitality sector.
One of the most exciting parts of the campus visit was the hands-on healthcare simulation activities conducted by the lecturers and facilitators. Students were given the opportunity to experience basic clinical procedures using medical mannequins in a simulated healthcare setting. During the activities, students learned simple patient care techniques, emergency response procedures, and the importance of communication and teamwork in healthcare environments.
The students also participated in CPR-related demonstrations and practical activities where they practiced basic emergency response techniques under the guidance of lecturers using training mannequins. These activities provided valuable exposure to real healthcare learning experiences while helping students build confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and awareness about the responsibilities involved in healthcare professions.
In addition, students observed demonstrations involving patient support and handling techniques within a mock ward environment. Through these practical activities, students gained a better understanding of patient safety, comfort, and proper care procedures commonly practiced in hospitals and healthcare facilities. The realistic learning environment allowed students to experience education beyond the classroom while making the visit more engaging and interactive.
The campus visit successfully provided students with valuable exposure to higher education pathways and career opportunities while allowing them to experience the learning environment at Vision University College firsthand. Through the guided campus tour, interactive sessions, and practical demonstrations, students were able to gain clearer insight into the programmes offered and the future career opportunities available in both healthcare and hospitality industries.
Vision University College would like to thank the teachers and students from SMK Seksyen 24(2), Shah Alam for visiting the campus. It was a pleasure hosting the group, and we hope the experience provided meaningful exposure, inspiration, and motivation for their future educational journey.
